She has a lean muscular build typical of martial artists, green eyes and long blonde hair kept in two ponytails.

Personality[]
Confident in her ability to overcome a challenge, at times maybe too confident. Rarely backs down from a fight and is almost always ready for some friendly sparring which, throughout the years, she learned to appreciate as more than just a competition she needs to win. She has an extrovert and assertive personality, although she's not too much of a chatterbox, and has a tendency to hate the popular, even if only out of spite at times.
Backstory[]
Grew up right next to Heaven's Arena, always feeling drawn to it for several reasons, including the awe and mystery surrounding the higher floors and the people that walked those halls. Her parents — both middle aged, her father Aristide a janitor and her mother Yrsa a local journalist — wanted a safer, more traditional life for her, shooting down each and every attempt of hers to convince them about finding a mentor and joining the matches.
Several years went by, with Marina expressing less and less interest in it. Her growing physique and the sorry state she was in at times when coming home late, however, made it obvious to her parents why she had stopped asking. She eventually became much better at it as well as more open about her interests and pride. During that time she even managed to claw her way to the 151st floor of the arena, making for one insane paycheck.
Some of it went to making life easier at home. From being cramped in a studio apartment to a lovely little house. From living paycheck to paycheck, to being relaxed enough to enjoy themselves. Her father even managed to open a small tailor shop, his dream ever since he was young. The rest of it they saved, just in case.
Taking the Hunter Exam was a way for her to cement her status. As she discovered the world of Hunters and Nen, however, Marina felt at a loss for what to do next. She accepted a bodyguarding job that eventually got her tangled with the Mizutani family, a smaller Yakuza group. Despite their desire to bring the organization back to its honorable roots, a goal she thought admirable, it wasn't really hers to begin with.
